I'm getting a recurring entry in my my mail log: "linux postfix/smtp[10247]: warning: smtp_connect_addr: socket: Address family not supported by protocol" There don't seem to be any problems with mail delivery but I'm just wondering if I'm missing anything? It's a simple setup - fetchmail to retrieve my pop3 mail and I'm using my isp's smtp server to deliver mail. Local delivery is via postfix/procmail. Thanks for any help. Perhaps some lines before you can find which address is that. -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson

I have been looking at my own logs, and found that message only on the logs of the 25th of Jul to the 27th, several of them. The entries are very similar to yours; but I can not see what the problem was - in fact, I didn't notice, and I don't know what I modified at the time. Perhaps something related to ipv6 and amavis :-? I think that I the postfix site there is a list of errors, but perhaps I'm mistaken. You could check that ;-) -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson
