I have checked the directory it is complainng abut but couldnt find anything special...Any ideas why I get this message? p.s. I recently updated to kde3.0.4 using YOU!

Yes, in your .qtrc you have directories defined multiple times. Try running, as your regular user, *not* as root, qtconfig. On the tab "library paths" you most likely have both /usr/lib/qt3 and /usr/lib/qt-3.0.4. Since those two directories actually are the same you get the messages about "already defined". Just remove one of them from the list and you should be rid of the messages Anders

It is not a problem. When you compile Qt, you can choose to use your system libraries or some libraries built in Qt itselft as a fallback (mostly graphical libraries: png, jpeg, etc). You may have a Qt with built-in libraries. As you also have the real ones, Qt finds both and tells it. In any case, it is no problem and you can ignore it. - -- Thibaut Cousin E-mail : cousin@in2p3.fr Web : http://clrwww.in2p3.fr -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.7 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE90kxsv1vqsTa1E4oRAniBAJ4+2vIpikOYfcbQYoHo1jAY1vRpvwCgybrQ Dt2qmvniO64rwhvwLdIjWAI= =XfZO -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
