Hi, I used "mirror" to get the whole tree using anonymous FTP. You might be getting login denied because the FTP server's user login limit had reached. I kept retrying till mirror could log in :) I suggest you do the same. Be patient, a lot of people are hitting the box to get 7.1. 4.0.3 fixes a lot of bugs including a couple of security related bugs. Its the best and most stable XFree86 release. Make sure you read the README before upgrading.
