[opensuse] Chromium corrupts some downloads
In installed Google Chromium from build service and tried to use it to download Google earth (from Google). Download completes fine, but the downloaded GoogleEarthLinux.bin is corrupted. Switching to Firefox gets around this. I filed a bug report, and post this here just in case anyone else is wondering why some things seem corrupted with Chrome used to download, and so that it will be caught by google spiders for the next guy scratching his head when he sees something like this: jsa@poulsbo:~/Download> sh ./GoogleEarthLinux.bin ./GoogleEarthLinux.bin: line 2: --noexec: command not found ./GoogleEarthLinux.bin: line 3: --keep: command not found ./GoogleEarthLinux.bin: line 4: the: command not found ./GoogleEarthLinux.bin: line 5: --nox11: command not found ./GoogleEarthLinux.bin: line 6: --nochown: command not found ./GoogleEarthLinux.bin: line 7: --target: command not found ./GoogleEarthLinux.bin: line 8: --tar: command not found ./GoogleEarthLinux.bin: line 9: --: command not found ./GoogleEarthLinux.bin: line 10: EOH: command not found ./GoogleEarthLinux.bin: line 11: syntax error near unexpected token `}' ./GoogleEarthLinux.bin: line 11: `}' See Bug: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=638735 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
