XFree which comes with SuSE is the only one which exists and it's home page is the mentionned one. Theremore You don't need to reinstall whole xfree but just to add the chinese module which is available at free.org, if any (of course choose one with the same version as the one which comes with Yr SuSE package). Hmmm...
It would be great if I use the XFree that come in SuSE.

Well, if it is there, it sd be integrated in some fonts files (for example, there is a japanese documentation file, hence that japanese characters are available altough not thru a separate file). try first reinstalling the whole batch of xfree (read the INSTALL file in the ftp, installation is quite easy,- i am everything but a programmer or informatician and got no difficulty with it), last version. Install all of the optionnal files too. Then reconfigure from bash, thru xf86config (ever the best). (sax only helps to center the image, in case of problems). sax2 is unefficient, if not problematic. If still failing, You sd reinstall the KDE chinese files, by then. Don't forget, after every such install, to run SuSEconfig Isen Kusima wrote:

When you talk about needing a Chinese module from www.xfree.org you are barking up the wrong tree. Isen can already view Chinese in Konqueror (and I bet he can do it in Kmail as well, he just needs to change the encoding), so he already has his X server set up correctly and has Chinese fonts installed. What he wants to do now is write Chinese. To write Chinese you need a Chinese server such as XCIN or Free Wnn and a compatible client. You can also write Chinese in XEMACS using mule. Jethro

I can read chinese in Konq & mozila. But I can't read chinese in KMail. (HTML off). I believe this is a font issue. I want to change the default font to the one that support chinese. Any good font that look like SuSE original font on X for chinese?

Right. I already download the http://www.suse.com/~mfabian PDF. It's very long. I'm still learning that article. After I read all of it, I will try to install the XCIN.

If you can read Chinese in Konqueror, then you have Chinese fonts. You just need to select one of those in the font setup of KMail.

Ask me if you have problems. And the mailing list <m17n@suse.com> might be useful as well. Subscription information is here: http://www.suse.de/~mfabian/mailing-list.html -- Mike Fabian <mfabian@suse.de> http://www.suse.de/~mfabian 睡眠不足はいい仕事の敵だ。

If you search on Google, it will take you 5 seconds to find the howto's. Here is the Chinese version: http://www.linux.org.tw/CLDP/Chinese-HOWTO.html and here is the English version: http://www.ibiblio.org/mdw/HOWTO/Chinese-HOWTO.html Regards, Charles -- The box saids Windows XP or better, so I installed Linux
