RE: [SLE] Microsoft Sidewinder Freestyle Pro USB
I have a MS Sidewinder Precision Pro USB which I had connected to a 4 port hub. The only way I could get this to work in Linux was to disconnect it from the hub, and plug it directly into the USB port on the back of my computer. BTW, the hub does have it's own power adapter. Never did figure this one out. But anyway, after doing this, I tried jstest & it worked find. Good luck! Have you tried using the joystick as root. With some Suse devices, the permissions don't initially allow others to use the devices. If it works as root, chmod 666 your joystick device. Hope this helps. Rich
