It would seem that you got the wrong rpm. You should get the one for 7.1. There is a difference between the two distributions. Alternatively, I could send you the rpm I built for 7.1 for Samba 2.2 if you are interested. I've been running it for a while now on two machines, and haven't had any problems. Unfortunately, I don't have anywhere to upload it, and It's about 6 meg. Could email I guess. Hi all! Lately, I am reading some samba related messages claiming that samba can act as a Primary Domain Controller in a mixed network environment (with NT and Linux boxes running in the same network). I used to think that samba only emulates single features of the SMB environments such as sharing some folder or printer. But act as a PDC is much more than this... Could anybody confirm that samba can as a full featured PDC? Regards, Jose L. Rojano

Works great, Samba 2.0.7 (and other versions) can act as a PDC for NT4 workstations & W9X, but not for W2000. The new Samba 2.2.0 supports W2000 too (I've not tested yet). Give it a try and have fun! Manuel Martínez Valls José L. Rojano wrote:
