Hi all, I thought there was a PDF version of the SUSE admin guide somewhere installed, but I can't seem to find it. I have the package suselinux-adminguide-9.2-4 installed, and I found the HTML version. This is SUSE 9.2 Pro. Any hints? Thanks, Benjamin
Hi I have a adsl modem (vitelcom) and I have tried to configure in suse9.0 with cxacru driver. The cuestion is, I have downloaded driver, I compile it, and I set up it. Following the instructions of driver documentation, I have followed this steps: 1- I configure file /etc/cxacru. 2- I configure file /etc/ppp/options. 3- I create file /etc/ppp/peers/dsl-provider 4- Run conexion with /usr/sbin/cxstart.sh and I obtain:
Inits Conexant AccessRunner <<< Loading firmware... Loading driver... Setting PPPoE <<< Loading br2684 kernel module... Loading ppp_generic... Loading pppoe... Loading br2684ctl... Activating interface... Activating send/receive data... Loading pppd daemon... Plugin pppoe.so loaded. PPPoE Plugin Initialized
I look /var/log/messages and I look that something is bad: resmgr[741]: accepted connection from user root cxioctl: resmgr: server response code 200 resmgr[741]: disconnect from root RFC1483/2684 bridge: Interface "nas0" created sucessfully RFC1483/2684 bridge: Communicating over ATM 0.8.35, encapsulation: LLC kernel: atm_connect (TX: cl 1,bw 0-0,sdu 1524; RX: cl 1,bw 0-0,sdu 1524,AAL 5) RFC1483/2684 bridge: Interface configured RFC1483/2684 bridge: RFC 1483/2684 bridge daemon started /etc/hotplug/net.agent[1225]: No HW description found ... exiting pppd[1252]: Plugin pppoe.so loaded. pppd[1252]: PPPoE Plugin Initialized pppd[1252]: pppd 2.4.1 started by root, uid 0 pppd[1252]: Using interface ppp0 pppd[1252]: Connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/tty1 kernel: nas0: no IPv6 routers present pppd[1252]: LCP: timeout sending Config-Requests pppd[1252]: Connection terminated. pppd[1252]: Exit.
