Hello... I run WinVNC on several Winders computers that I administer. I have successfully utilized the VNC viewer in my SuSE Linux box to log onto the Winders boxes. Unfortunately I find that the opposite is not the case. I have tried and tried to get logged into my SuSE Linux box using VNC from a remote computer, and it always fails... Has anyone come up with a configuration scheme to get incoming VNC connects in SuSE Linux to work? I would think that it should be quite possible, seeing as how I can administer Winders boxes with SuSE Linux VNC. Why Can't I come back the other way in a like fasion? There has to be a way.... Thanks for reading my message... Best regards, Gary

I was playing with VNC only yesterday. It worked both ways without problem. The Remote Desktop Sharing server in KDE-3.1.1 doesn't work for me - it just crashes as soon as the client connects - the the basic server setup works fine out of the box for me. Perhaps you could give us a clue about what's going wrong. "It always fails" doesn't tell us much. -- "...our desktop is falling behind stability-wise and feature wise to KDE ...when I went to Mexico in December to the facility where we launched gnome, they had all switched to KDE3." - Miguel de Icaza, March 2003
