[opensuse] Simple OpenVPN setup with leap 15.2 as a simple server and windows clients?
Hi there, noob here with openvpn, having simple leap 15.2 machine, two network interface cards (ethernet), one connected to some xdsl router, second connects to the actual LAN on the premises. I want to allow openvpn clients on windows to connect to this LAN from the internet. Is the SDB infopage at <https://en.opensuse.org/SDB:OpenVPN_Installation_and_Setup> still current and good advice for a very simple setup? I only need like two or three clients (windows) at max from the outside. I have dhcp server on the linux machine as well on the LAN network card. I dont have a fixed public ipv4 IP; so some dynamic dns provider will do I guess, but I have direct public ipv4 reachable from the outside. IPV6 doesnt come into this scenario at the moment. any good howtos, summary of this kind of setup etc on the net anywhere for a noob? thanks. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I have two such setups, except with Linux machines only and with static IPs. It's not a big deal. AFAICT, the SDB page is up-to-date. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (6.7°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - your free DNS host, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Can't tell about that page. For the mentioned purpose, I do use tinc. Also needs a resolvable IP of course, but any dyndns will do (I use changeip) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
