Yeah, I'm kinda thinking that if I purchase a replacement drive, I'll get one that's either a single drive (instead of two drives spanned) so I can pull it out of the enclosure, or get one that has a SATA interface on it. I know one of my machines has SATA on it, and I think actually one I just bought used also has it. Not sure if they have external connectors or not, will have to check that out.
