Try fdisk /dev/sdb instead of /dev/sdb1. Jim -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Maybe you would like to try 'cfdisk /dev/sdb' . It is a bit more comfortable the fdisk. -- Regards, Rajko http://en.opensuse.org/Portal needs helpful hands. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Just curious, are you recommending cfdisk over fdisk for all drives, and what makes it more comfortable....? Thanks....

It does the same as fdisk, so yes I you would use cfdisk for any hard disk drive and USB stick. I'm not sure about other types of memory cards.

The ncurses interface. It is easier to use when you see options, what you can do, listed on the screen, than when you have to print them out. -- Regards, Rajko http://en.opensuse.org/Portal needs helpful hands. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
