Hi, No-one replied to my query regarding using different suse boxes to do different tasks, just wondering if anyone can help with it at all? I've included the message again just in case below my sig. Best regards / Hilsen / kær kvedja, Lee Smallbone Portal Development Mngr, Opera Software A/S lee@operasoftware.com +-----------------------------------------------+ |Date:6/30/1999 Time:6:50 PM | +-----------------------------------------------+ Hi again, I'm currently building another SuSE machine and would like to take the web serving off of Itchy (the machine with the modem) to Scratchy, which just has (or will have) a 10Base-T connection to the rest of the LAN. How can I make sure http requests get from Itchy to Scratchy, and then back again to whoever requested a page? I'm a *total* newbie when it comes to this arena. I'm using wvdial (in case that matters...). A friend of mine sent me this when I asked him: ppp.linkup MYADDR: delete default add default HISADDR alias same_ports yes # email alias port tcp 192.168.0.4:110 110 alias port tcp 192.168.0.4:25 25 # email web alias port tcp 192.168.0.4:81 81 # icq alias port tcp 192.168.0.1:2000 2000 alias port tcp 192.168.0.1:2001 2001 alias port tcp 192.168.0.1:2002 2002 alias port tcp 192.168.0.1:2003 2003 Can this help me? If so, how can I go about using this to get roughly what I want? Thanks for any help you may be able to give. :-) -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A</A>> and the archive at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A</A>>

Hmm, strange. I remeber answering this message and giving you a hint about "rinetd". It seems, our mailserver is having a hard time again... The replacement is already ordered.
