[opensuse] sshd syslog message format
Hi List, Is there any way to instruct sshd to log the numerical ip address on failed authentication. For example I do not want this in the log: a) sshd[30851]: error: PAM: Authentication failure for root from 66.red-81-45-223.staticip.rima-tde.net Rather I would want to have: b) sshd[30851]: error: PAM: Authentication failure for root from 81.45.223.66 In most cases the sshd entry in the syslog file is the (b) format type but a quite few are in the (a) format and I'm not sure how to instruct sshd to only log in the (b) format. Thanks for any advice/help. Rgds. Otto. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
