In former versions of Yast I remember that there was a possibility to look at the boot log, get a list of warnings, errors and lots more info in an automated way. I have the feeling that such diagnostic program is really missing because the Yast program gave nicely portioned parts of what has now to be done with dmesg and grep etc..
