[opensuse] annoying thunderbird popups
12.1 zypper updated yesterday. I get one of these every 2 minutes when in tb. A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete. Script: resource:///modules/gloda/indexer.js:1452 Very annoying. Any ideas? _Most_ likely: TrackerBird Disable it if it's active as addon! Or remove the package (but it might come back as some automatic "recommendation"). Wolfgang -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Yes, but it's highly unlikely that this is the issue. See my TrackerBird comment. It's known to be a performance hit for TB. But yes, if disabling TrackerBird does not fix the issue I'm interested in hearing if TestPilot did. Hi everyone and thanks for your comments. I have installed no add ons but see the Test Pilot menu item on the drop down tools menu. I didn't install it. It brings another menu, alas with no option for disabling nor removing it. Maybe it is test pilot that is sending the pop ups? How do I get rid of Test Pilot? Thanks, L x -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

You can control every addon from the Extras -> Add-ons menu Please check since I still think you have TrackerBird there as well. Wolfgang -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

i wonder what version Wolfgang is using (mine is 13.0 on a 32 bit openSUSE 11.4) because i don't have an Extras -> Add-ons, but i do have Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions where i see a disabled TestPilot, but no TrackerBird.. and, if i go to "Get Add-ons" and search for "TrackerBird" it returns "Could not find any matching add-ons" so??? for Lynn's "How do I get rid of Test Pilot?" from the Thunderbird menu > Tools > Add-ons > Extensions (on the left) and then on the right you should see all that are installed (i guess some are default installed) you should see TestPilot for Thunderbird 1.3.9 (and Woldfgang insists also a TrackerBird), click the disable button and report if disabling (either) stops your popup. dd -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

It's Extras because I use german I guess ;-) Sorry that I didn't have the right english menu for it. And TrackerBird is part of openSUSE 12.1 and not earlier versions.
and, if i go to "Get Add-ons" and search for "TrackerBird" it returns "Could not find any matching add-ons" so???
Because it's a Gnome thing included in openSUSE 12.1 and it depends on other infrastructure and therefore is not available on addons.mozilla.org. Wolfgang -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
