Hi, I have Sendmail setup and running correctly (I think), but I am having trouble using my windoze clients to send/receive mail. a) Is sendmail the correct program from this? b) Do I need to do anything to sendmail? c) do I need any special settings in my windoze clients? For some reason, although it was showing as installed, the POP server was nowhere to be found, I re-installed sorted the problem. Sendmail will work fine for the exchange of mail between servers and also for your client to send the mail.. You will have to install a POP server before you can get your win9x clients to download their mail tho.. Sendmail does not do this.. Have you installed package 'xdevel' from series 'd' on the CDs? This may help...
