Hi, I'd like to start two X sessions on vt7 and vt8 during boot and automatically log in two different users to these. I'm using OpenSuSE 10.1 and kdm, but I do not necessarily need a display manager, since there will not be a need for ordinary users to log in after the two sessions have started. Cheers, Teemu -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Try this: - get a newer version of mingetty that supports the option --autologin - change /etc/inittab to log in on two virtual terminals - start X in these sessions in .bashrc Check out http://easymamecab.mameworld.net/html/autologin.htm for additional details and an example.
