Hi. I am having trouble installing and/or upgrading to 8.0. I dl'd all but the source RPMs (suse/zq1). Booting from the install floppy's is no problem. When I choose the 'UPGRADE' option, I get this message: "No linux root partition found". Then I choose "New Install". No matter which partition I choose as the 'NEW' root, I get this message: "The correct source mediunm could not be mounted." Details: "mount:/dev/hda2 already mounted or /tmp/mnt busy mount: according to mtab, /dev/hda2 is mounted on /mounts/extra" /dev/hda2 is where I am installing from. What is causing this? Am I missing something not dl'd?? Thanks in advance Aubrey Lycos mail is giving me screwy msg's. Sorry for duplicate post. _________________________________________ Communicate with others using Lycos Mail for FREE! http://mail.lycos.com/ --------- End Forwarded Message --------- _________________________________________ Communicate with others using Lycos Mail for FREE! http://mail.lycos.com/

You won't be able to install any of this without compiling each and every pkg individually. I would download the bootdisks from the ftp site and do an ftp install. The way your going about it won't work. Sorry. :/ -=Ben --=====-----=====-- mailto:ben@whack.org --=====-- Tell me what you believe..I tell you what you should see. -DP --=====-----=====--
