Dear All, Ok I know there were discussion about playing MP3. And I tried to follow the instruction like add my yast-source to packman. But I think I cant find any of those files (k3b-mad, kdemultimeda3-mad and stuff) in packman. I just found mad, can I still play mp3 without any other 'mad' aplication ? Where should I go to get more plugins / added software to play mp3 in kaffein and / or amarok ? regards, -- Arie Reynaldi Zanahar reymanx at gmail.com http://www.reynaldi.or.id

Again. I have to rework the packages. They will be available latest at the 6th of october when SUSE Linux 10.0 is released. I have only 2 hands :) Henne -- Henne Vogelsang, http://hennevogel.de "Rules change. The Game remains the same." - Omar

I just read your mail. Th second mail was sent before I got you first one ... :) Anyway, I really thankfull with packman. Despite with this problem, is there anyway I can hear mp3 using opensuse 10.0 ? What software can I use other then amarok or kaffein ? Rel Player ? or MPlayer ? Again, thanks with packman site Henne.. It really helps me alot. :)

You can do the following now: y2pmsh source -a http://packman.iu-bremen.de/suse/10.0/ y2pmsh<enter> update solve commit If you have bmp, xmms or kdemultimedia* installed they will get updated to newer versions that have mad support included. Also there are a lot of other packages now. Basically everything you got from the MultiMedia Option packs in 9.3 is on packman now.
Again, thanks with packman site Henne.. It really helps me alot. :)
Its not my work alone. Thank the packman team. Its reachable at packman@links2linux.de :) Henne -- Henne Vogelsang, http://hennevogel.de "Rules change. The Game remains the same." - Omar
Hi Henne, Do you indicate you've done those packages? Specifically, if I want my amaroK to play mp3, what packages from your site should I install, could you gave us a list? Thanks very much... On 9/22/05, Henne Vogelsang <hvogel@hennevogel.de> wrote:
