Howto check, cancel and resume printer in cups using cli ?
Hi All, Usually when my printer get stuck, I check in gnome-cups-manage (or kprinter) to see what happen. When it paused, i click the icon, select all jobs and clik 'Cancel', then i choose 'Resume' so the printer goes online again. How can I do that without login to gnome / kde ? Can i do it from console ? What command to check, select which jobs (or all jobs), cancel jobs and resume printer ? regards, -- Arie Reynaldi Zanahar reymanx at gmail.com http://www.reynaldi.or.id

Point your web browser at the server's Ip, port 631. Like http://192.168.1.1:631/ You may have to make a setting in /etc/cups.config to allow this to be done from anywhere on your network. -- _____________________________________ John Andersen

*Point your browser* John said, so type lynx http://localhost:631 or whatever the name of the server is at the console. Piece of cake. Regards, -- Jos van Kan registered Linux user #152704

enable <printername>
IF you are using bash, above requires full path-name as 'enable' is a built-in bash command, ie: /usr/bin/enable <printername> -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org HOG # US1244711 Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2
