Just got up and kind of running with the Nvidia kernel, but not sure a reboot would be a good idea considering that almost every single module has unresolved symbol issues now. No sound, here is some of those horrid symbols: Loading driver: Starting sound driver: emu10k1/lib/modules/2.4.18-4GB/misc/snd.o: unresolved symbol unregister_sound_dsp_Rcd083b10 /lib/modules/2.4.18-4GB/misc/snd.o: unresolved symbol register_sound_dsp_Ra6d618ae /lib/modules/2.4.18-4GB/misc/snd.o: unresolved symbol unregister_sound_special_R99c95fa5 /lib/modules/2.4.18-4GB/misc/snd.o: unresolved symbol register_sound_special_R25201380 /lib/modules/2.4.18-4GB/misc/snd.o: insmod /lib/modules/2.4.18-4GB/misc/snd.o failed /lib/modules/2.4.18-4GB/misc/snd.o: insmod snd-card-emu10k1 failed failed Loading soundfont /usr/share/sfbank/creative/default.sf2 done =============================================================================== You can use aplay to play audio files with ALSA, and almost any OSS sound tools and games out there should also work. When you run 'rcalsasound stop' your mixer settings will be saved to /etc/asound.conf They will be restored on the next 'rcalsasound start' which is used to load ALSA. Not sure I want to recommend this to anyone right now to be honest. Yes I know they aren't SuSE certified :). Just a heads up...Anyone else having issues? Matt
