Hi there, guys (M/F) I have set up pretty much everything satisfactory now. SuSE is great all in all, but I have this one problem: I want a full-fledged printout on my fathers printer (running Windows 95) from SuSE and 'smbprint' doesn't do that by itself. As far as I can tell, the very nice printing utility that SuSE comes with knows nothing about SMB/Samba printers, and even the remote printer option it has have no filters to choose (I guess in that case they are run at the other end?!?). Anyone have any ideas? I have generated the filters that would be necessary if the printer were local. Can I utilize them somehow??? If it helps set the scene, I have to print to 'PETERPC\HP6L' and have in /etc/printcap a 'hp6l' entry... -- --- e-mail: martin_moeller@technologist.com - an iName service for life(?)
