Hello Chaps ! Bought said modem. Downloaded drivers, aso,... Also JohannVerrept's HOWTO. Nevertheless it writes abt kernel modules, new kernels,, sarlib, hotplugging, ... My kernel was updated to 2.4.16 Is all that stuff still necessary or just PPPoA or PPPoE (according to server's config), hotplugging and Alcatel's speedmgmt and speedtouch tar file ? Rgds to all J.Boboli PS A pitty there is no SuSE rpm for this stuff !!!

I bought one at the end of december, as ADSL was becoming available where I live. I needed a couple of days to get it working, though. I used Benoit Papillault's driver (version 1 came out on Xmas day). Merci M'sieur, Je l'ai déchargé et essaierai. Peut-être cela sera-t-il plus simple qu'avec les drivers Alcatel. (les drivers de J.Verrept sont belges aussi !). FX Fraipont wrote:
