Replacing Boot Sector 22.2 with Boot Sector 22.1
Dear my friends, I have to harddisk in my Computer. I installed windows 98 and Mandrake Linux 8.2 on my first harddisk and SuSE Linux 8 on the second harddisk. Previously, I started my SuSE with lilo on a diskette but know I decide to remove the mandrake linux and to install lilo on the MBR of the first harddisk (/dev/hda). But I have a big problem to install the LILO on the MBR. The error message is : " Lilo returned this error message : Fatal : First boot sector is version 22.2. Expecting version 22.1. " I tried to execute "fdisk /mbr" and remove the partition of mandrake linux and format it with FAT32. so my windows has two FAT32 partitions now, "drive C:" and "drive D:". I also tried "lilo -u /dev/hda" from SuSE Linux but it didn't succeeded. Please, somebody help me....... I want to launch my SuSE Linux from MBR of first harddisk as normal. Thank you very much in advance. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Finance - Get real-time stock quotes http://finance.yahoo.com
