Probably start off with some specific questions if you've tried and had problems. On Fri, 19 Jun 1998, Roberto wrote:

Then perhaps now would be a good time to start reading the manual. Roberto wrote:

I have read the manual, there are many instruction to install networking, I think I have do it, but how I can telephon to my internet provider and logging in the net??? I have triyed with the utility that make a call, they ask me for a login and password, they seams to access but when I start a browser I tell me everytime "error fetching.................", thys is one reason because I want to install netscape, but on the manuals there are nothing about it. It sounds like you are connecting to your isp, but that's all the farther you get. Make sure you have /dev/modem linked to the appropriate device, and that /dev/modem is stated in /etc/ppp/options. The best advice I can give is to read the ppp how-to. <A HREF="ftp://sunsite.unc.edu/pub/Linux/docs/HOWTO/PPP-HOWTO"><A HREF="ftp://sunsite.unc.edu/pub/Linux/docs/HOWTO/PPP-HOWTO</A">ftp://sunsite.unc.edu/pub/Linux/docs/HOWTO/PPP-HOWTO Roberto wrote:

Also make sure that in your /etc/resolv.conf reflects the correct name server of your ISP, I ran into that problem when I had the wrong DNS entry for my ISP, I could access direct addresses, but could not access any "human names":-) -- cya l8r Leon McClatchey leonmcclatchey@homemail.com (Win95 Box) -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
