Hi boys, I've read that XFree 3.3.6 is available as source code and I seem remembering that once I was told that recompiled XFree is faster than standard rpm, (and this seems logical for compatibility). Did anybody already managed the whole process of compiling and installing a new release from sources? Is there any particular hint for SuSE 6.1? I've done a lot of times with kernel (now 2.2.14 recompiled), but never with XFree.
