Jean Claude, What is you modem device set to in wvdial.conf? It should be set to one of the following: Dos Linux com1 /dev/cua0 or /dev/ttyS0 com2 /dev/cua1 or /dev/ttyS1 com2 /dev/cua2 or /dev/ttyS2 com4 /dev/cua3 or /dev/ttyS3 or if the modem device is set up the simply try /dev/modem The wvdial.conf file should be in /etc and is created the first time you run wvdial. Regards.
Hi all
Source code downloaded, successfully compiled after hicups and tried to = run.
Problems:
(1) The last messages are:
Initializing modem
Sending: ATZ
Modem not responding
(2) How can I know the DOS com port? The modem seems to be = recognised on COM 2 and COM 3.
Under Windows98 it is seen as being on COM1.
Thanks for any help.
J C
