[opensuse] YaST partitioner
I really like YaST partitioner because it brings so many aspects of management together, so I use it quite a lot. In doing so I've noticed a couple of points and wanted to check whether anybody here had any information about them before I spend time trawling through bugzilla (they're not true bugs, more wishlist). (1) I still use the command line for various tasks alongside the partitioner. When I change anything via the command line, partitioner's view becomes out of date, which is expected. But the only way I've found to update the view is to close partitioner and restart it. It would be nice to have a refresh button. I'm using 11.2 so perhaps this is already available? (2) I like the Graph feature but I get confused about the file format, because I use it infrequently. The save dialog shows files of type .gv while the generated file is actually a DOT file. It would be useful if the dialog showed .dot files and/or if the help screen told users what the file format was and what application could be used to produce an image from the file. Again, I'm on 11.2 so perhaps this is already done. Cheers, Dave -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

There used to be a refresh option - "rescan partitions" or something along those lines. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (17.7°C) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Thanks, You're quite right! There is Rescan Devices, but only on the top-of-the-tree panel, which I normally never look at. Thanks, Dave -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

That's correct: It's "rescan devices" and it only appears when on the top-most screen in the tree. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
