[opensuse] firewire 800 disks not working on openSUSE 11.1
I have a firewire card: Texas Instruments TSB82AA2 IEEE-1394b Link Layer Controller (rev 01) and an external firewire disk: LACIE "Big Disk Extreme" In openSUSE 10.3 I was able to mount and format the disk. In 11.1, I see this in /var/log/messages) when I power the disk on: kernel: ieee1394: Node changed: 0-01:1023 -> 0-00:1023 kernel: ieee1394: The root node is not cycle master capable; selecting a new root node and resetting... kernel: ieee1394: Error parsing configrom for node 0-00:1023 kernel: ieee1394: Node changed: 0-00:1023 -> 0-01:1023 I do not think the drive has broken. Unfortunately, this is the only system around here that I can test it with. My 10.3 system is gone... Anyone else having 1394 disk issues with 11.1? I do not see much activity on bugzilla. -- Roger Oberholtzer OPQ Systems / Ramböll RST Ramböll Sverige AB Krukmakargatan 21 P.O. It is like talking about a large city with all construction finished.
