[opensuse] RE: Enabling Sound from a PC to another

I have a PC on the network that does not have speakers or a sound card. I think there is a way of sending its sound to another PC on the network or am I dreaming. I am getting into areas like the sysconfig editor and the services running in YAST and I am not really happy to experiment here as I do not as yet have that much experience or confidence yet - reading all the emals is helping alot. Can anyone help with this question. Many Thanks Scott

Network sound servers aren't as common as they used to be, but they are still available. My debian system has several packaged: yiff-server rplay mas-server Perhaps one of the many SuSE repositories has these prepackaged for you; if not, you could add whichever one you settle on to the buildservice. :) HTH
