I think that we are not far from 2.2.2 and it will
have a lot of new things. I suggest just a little of
patiense!!!!!!!!!!!

Which kernel should I download from the ftp site to upgrade to 2.2.16? I have SuSE 6.4 installed with APM. I have a single Celeron 333 cpu machine, nothing fancy. I see six different kernels on the ftp site, confusing for a newbie.

Well, even when 2.2.2 comes out I'll still need to know which one to get!? Ricardo Rodriguez wrote:

ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse_update/6.4/kernel-2.2.16/ If your computer is i386 based use this ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse_update/6.4/kernel-2.2.16/k_i386.rpm if you use laptop then ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse_update/6.4/kernel-2.2.16/k_laptop.rpm If you have a dual processor computer then this might be the right one ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse_update/6.4/kernel-2.2.16/k_smp.rpm -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq

As far as I know, if you want APM support and don't want to compile yourself, then you want the laptop kernel because I believe it is the only one with APM compile in. -- Brad Shelton On Line Exchange http://online-isp.com -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq

I think 2.2.2 is ancient history. 2.4.0 should be along soon, though, but maybe we'll see 2.2.20 in the meantime.
