Lexmark printer problems on SuSE 10.1
Hi I'm having problems trying to allow users to select which tray they print to on a networked Lexmark E342n. I think I need to put a new PPD in /etc/ppd.conf, but I'm not sure, and a search for help has been largely fruitless. Can anyone shed any light on this? /etc/ppd.conf does not exist on a normal Suse Linux system. What are you talking about? In general see http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:CUPS_in_a_Nutshell http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Print_Settings_with_CUPS and if your printer is a PostScript printer see http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Printer_Configuration_from_SUSE_LINUX_9.1_on "General information on setting up PostScript printers" otherwise see http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Purchasing_a_Printer_and_Compatibility Kind Regards Johannes Meixner -- SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, Maxfeldstrasse 5 Mail: jsmeix@suse.de 90409 Nuernberg, Germany WWW: http://www.suse.de/ -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com
