your own installer process. It's when you begin to consider what it takes to get a system operational with a high level of automation that you appreciate the efforts of folks at SuSE, Debian, RedHat, Slackware, WGS, Caldera (and God forbid I forgot any one else) .
I just wanted to make one comment on the above..."WGS" has never produced their own distribution. They have always been based on either Slackware or Red Hat. They may have made a few updates and some slight enhancements, but they have never produced their own distribution that I know of.
