Hi,
since I updated my system to Opensuse 10.2, I cant mount the
any more (which is still required by vmware to access USB devices from the VMs).
I tried different entries in /etc/fstab, but "mount usbfs /proc/bus/usb" always gives an "mount point /proc/bus/usb does not exist"
In 10.1 everything worked fine.
Whats wrong?
CONFIG_USB_DEVICEFS is no longer enabled, not even as a module. I will inquire if this is wanted.
Please just tell VMWare to fix it.
Ciao, Marcus
VMWare seems to be quite slow with this. I had a discussion with
usbfs to /proc/bus/usb them months ago
about this. Nevertheless Ill try it again.
Will you enable the module in the default kernel again?
Not my call in the end, but I opened an discussion with our kernel developers.
Ciao, Marcus
Marcus, in case this should be denied: would it be possible to offer this specific module through the buildService? I think this should basically be possible, no? (I just bring this up, as the kernel team might try to push this away, as we're already past the RC line) Dominique -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
