Okay... First, maybe upgrading to 6.4 may nog be so bad, if I'm not mistaking, A number of APM related features was fixed/added in that release. The floppy drive seems very strange... you can try to set up fstab with filesystem auto or vfat (extension on msdos). I know that mdir reads directly from /dev/fdx while the mount *can* be subject to a kind of caching... About your clock... you can try this: After apm, your clock settings fall back to gmt. If it wants GMT, give it to him... Set the hardwareclock to GMT permanently and the softwareclock to your local timezone... maybe that'll fix it... I hope it helps Kind regards Guy -------------------------------------------------------------- I sent this message to the list 2 days ago but at this time it was fashionnable to forget usual problems and to discuss about selling philosophy. I hope I'll be luckier this time, or may be someone can point me to the list archives ? " Hello I've just recieved a Siemmens Fujitsu C series laptop and I face two different problems (suse 6.3 out of the box): when I mount a floppy disk the files and directories in /floppy/ are not the ones on the disc but those who where on an old one. even mounting unmounting under root (with -tmsdos or other options) I can't see the real contents of the disk. But if I use mtools (msdos floppy) mdir shows me the real files. anyone knowing a solution ? after a suspend, the time is wrong. the hardware clock is on local time but after each suspend mode the configuration file says it's GMT. I have to use Yast to put it back on local time and SuSEconfig to set the good time value. But if I reboot the PC time is ok. Any solution ? thanks Yann " ______________________________________________________ Get Your FREE FlashMail Address now at http://www.flashmail.com It's Free, Easy, & Fun !!! -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq
