SPAM: Adding to Gnome menus?

Hi all, I'd like to add an application to the menu offered by Gnome. I found the "edit menus" thing on the toolbar/startbar/whatever-it's-called, but it didn't seem to offer a way to add a new program, only a way to select which to display taken from those that were already known to it. What am I missing? TIA Simon "You can tell whether a man is clever by his answers. You can tell whether a man is wise by his questions." — Naguib Mahfouz

Hi Simon, From my personal tips/troubleshooting archive:
Right click on a menu in the editor, select New Submenu and you can create as many submenus as you like Right click within a menu (or on the menu itself in the left-hand pane) and select New Application to add launchers to that menu/submenu.
hth & regards, Carl

i distinctly remember seeing an article on Newsforge about 2-3 weeks ago where the said that the "latest" Gnome release FINALLY has a menu editor. i'm assuming that Suse doesn't have this relase of gnome yet (i don't remember the version number, only that it was released a few weeks ago). Here's the article: http://software.newsforge.com/article.pl?sid=06/09/12/1935207&tid=130 GNOME 2.16. -- ----- stephan@s11n.net http://s11n.net "...pleasure is a grace and is not obedient to the commands of the will." -- Alan W.
