Hey Group; Be advised that libpowersaver that is availble at SuSE 10 update will cause KDE to fail. I found no nice way to fix the problem so I reloaded. I reinstalled firefox and thunderbird from there sources. I now again am having a problem with thunderbird passing any URL to firefiox. Thunderbird will call up Firefox but will not pass the URL. Does anyone have a idea on this problem. I have the same /home/user/. directorys and files as before. -- 73 de Donn Washburn Hpage:" http://www.hal-pc.org/~n5xwb " Ham Callsign N5XWB Email: " n5xwb@hal-pc.org " 307 Savoy St. HAMs : " n5xwb@arrl.net " Sugar Land, TX 77478 BMW MOA #: 4146 - Ambassador LL# 1.281.242.3256 " http://counter.li.org " #279316
I'm experiencing an odd behavior with my wireless connection. The card appears to be setup correctly, when I boot my machine it recognizes that there is a wireless connection. However, I do not get assigned an IP address unless I go into YAST, highlight my wireless connection, press edit and just click through the next couple of steps. When it's done I click finish and bam, I have an IP address asigned and my internet connection is happy. The wireless card is set to connect at boot time, why doesn't it? Thanks, Dave Martin
Additionally, I've trying to connect to a DSL connection using PPTP and the only ethernet card showing up here is the physcial ethernet card. David Martin wrote:
