Dear list members: Recently I have installed Suse 9.2. I have a HP laserjet 1015 that I could configure via YAST2/printer section. The print test produced a perfect printout. However if I try to print from any application (Openoffice writer, Konqueror browser) it prints only characters - 1 or 2 lines per page. Thes start of the lines is something like Postscript version 3.0 etc. I have CUPS print server installed. Please help me how I should configure the printer for working well. Thanks, IG

Hi Istvan, When you open OOo's "Printer Settings..." what do you see listed for "Name", "Status" and "Type"? What do you see listed when you then click "Properties"? - - Carl - -- ____________________________________________________________________ C. E. Hi Carl, Thanks for your prompt answer. I figured out that I did not check 'do local filtering' during the printer setup. (I did not know what it is for.) I tried to configure again with checked it on and now the printer is working. Thank you once more your help. IG Carl E. Hartung <suselinux@cehartung.com> írta:
