[opensuse] Leap 15 and Teamviewer 12 incompatibility
Hi ! I just found that upgrade from Leap 42.3 to 15.0 breaks Teamviewer 12 compatibility. Verified on 2 PCs. Teamviewer GUI simply fails to launch (in terminal "launching GUI" freezes forever). Anyone have a fix to this issue? Teamviewer 13 works fine, however, in this particular case this is not an option. I also used TeamViewer 12 with openSUSE Leap 42.3 and it stopped working on Leap 15.0. At least regarding the GNOME desktop, using Wayland is default in Leap 15. I don't know about other desktop environments. The problem is that Wayland does not accept incoming connections: https://community.teamviewer.com/t5/Linux/State-of-Wayland-amp-TeamViewer/td... "On Wayland, currently only *outgoing* remote control is supported. If you need *incoming* remote control, you have to *sign in with classic Xorg*." If I'm not mistaken, what I did to revert from Wayland to classic Xorg was just installing the package patterns-gnome-gnome_x11 and rebooting. Using classic Xorg, TeamViewer 13 accepts incoming connections. TeamViewer 12 should work as well. I use X.org on both pcs, not Wayland -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
