I was referring to the whole thread, actually. After reading the 15 odd posts, it became apparent that Maildir on a good filesystem is about as good as it's going to get.

My Maildir is over 4gb as it is. I was thinking of dedicating that drive to mail, maybe putting it into an old "server" PC at home, just for the "archive" stuff.
