[S.u.S.E. Linux] Can't get PPP working
Okay, I've been through YaST; I've put my ISP's DNS IP in /etc/resolv.conf ... and still no dice. When I run /etc/suseppp/scripts/ppp-up generic nothing happens. I just get a blinking cursor and have to hit Ctrl-C. When I attempt to run kPPP, it dials the modem just fine, but hands on "starting pppd". (To top it off, it even hangs when I try to quit after such a session, and I have to kill it.) I dunno what to do at this point. Prismatic Booger Braden N. Really stupid question, but have you read the PPP-HOWTO and followed it step by step? The step-by-steps still work very well and it includes telling how to figure out what your ISP is doing so that you can respond properly.... and how to test the various components. ---------------------------------- <A HREF="http://benham.net/index.html"><A HREF="http://benham.net/index.html</A">http://benham.net/index.html</A</A>> -----BEGIN GEEK CODE BLOCK----- Version: 3.1 GCS d+(-) s:+ a29 C++$ UL++>++++ P+++$ L++>++++ E?
