Kernel update and dialup...GOT IT DONE
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Me again gang, I went ahead and fired up YOU, and figured 'what the heck', and started the download. I was gone for about 5 hours, and when I got home, it was done, so Hartmut and a couple others were correct about it just downloading the 'patch rpm's', and not the whole thing (I only saw the full size of each download, this is why I figured I'd never be able to do it with dialup. Is YOU supposed to show if it's just a 'patch' or what?). Everything went smooth so far (I haven't rebooted yet, but I *have* relogged-in. Should I do a full reboot?). I want to thank all you good folk who were there to offer me the help in case I really did need it. Maybe one day when I win the lottery, I'll fly everyone on the list to someplace and we'll make it a big assed party! Thanks again, you're good people. John - -- I needed fresh bugs for my SuSE gecko, and Linux penguin. So I went out and caught this huge ugly blue and red and green and yellow butterfly. They won't need fresh food for 3 months now. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE+8lAmH5oDXyLKXKQRAijJAJ49MxfRlfoYIx1K/kq5OCfTM54XWgCfW5HY xkJFHXyZFtcyI14yWI+esxc= =uRYR -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

On my system, the full size is listed in YOU's right pane, while what must be the patch size is listed in YOU's left pane. The kernel update says 54Mb in the right pane, but only 9.something in the left. It definitely was the small size that was fetched on my system. Best regards :o) Johnny :o)

:-) Glad it's all over :-) But you didn't have to go away for 5 hours 'cause, as I said, it only took just under 35 minutes to update the kernel and source :-). -- I was very heavily into pornography. Then my pornograph broke.
