Is anyone using the xCHM build 0.9.8 with any success? I have been using xCHM 0.9.7 for a while now and it works great. I updated to the 0.9.8 build provided by Guru ( http://linux01.gwdg.de/~pbleser/index.php ) and it stops working - it starts up fine, but when I try to load any CHM I just get a handy dandy blank page. I've reverted back to 0.9.7... Just wondering if anyone else is using 0.9.8 with any success... C.

I have 0.9.7, but will try 0.9.8 from your link. I am running 9.2, are you? James W

I'm currently running 9.3. Same thing happened on a 9.2 install I tried it on. It's not that critical that I use 0.9.8 :-) I was just wondering if it was me or the build. Since you are getting the same results it would seem to be the build. That is an old build now anyway... 1.0 was released on 06.06.05 (on Sourceforge). Maybe it's time I figured out how to make my own RPMs, and build my own binary package based on the 1.0 release. C.

I have a 1.0 rpm that I built a little while ago, statically linked against wxGTK 2.6.1 (9.3 comes with 2.5.3, xCHM 1.0 requires 2.6.1). Drop me a line if you want to grab a copy. -- Homepage http://scottj.org XFce desktop environment http://www.xfce.org Goodies for the XFce desktop http://xfce-goodies.berlios.de

Yes, I got the same thing. I tried using the chmlib from the Guru site as well, no go. Just a blank page. I'll fiddle for a while, if I get it I will let you know. If not, I'll reverting as well. James W
