Hello all, I've found a similar problem to mine on the German mailinglist, but they didn't have an answer there, so I'm turning to you. :) Since SuSE 8.1 I cannot use smb in Konqueror. When I try to access smb://hostname/D/ I get the message "smb://hostname/D/ew Games does not exist". The directory "New Games" should be available on that drive, but I cannot imagine why it would try to access it when I just want to see the contents of the D drive. Any ideas? Regards, Pieter Hulshoff

No, all those are installed. Before that smb:// didn't even work. :( Currently, I can see smb://hostname. When I click on one of those items (for instance D) for some reason it sends me to smb://hostname/D/ew Games. Also, when I enter smb://hostname/D directly, it still sends me to smb://hostname/D/ew Games. As said, New Games (with the N) is a directory on the D drive. Any thoughts? Are you sure all of D is shared on the Windows side? Maybe only New Games is shared. Also, the space would probably need escaped, i.e. New\ Games. I think I may have been a tad unclear: When I click on D, it sends me to D/ew Games. Why Konqueror adds the ew Games is my mystery. To answer your question though: yes, D is fully shared on the Windows side. I can access it perfectly well with my Linux 8.0 machine. Regards, Pieter Hulshoff
