Hello all, I have a problem with my dial up on my Suse 6.1, my modem works fine and my wvdial is set correctly. When i try to run wvdial it connects to the isp, but it does not isssue me an ip. It just sits there connected to the isp. Any bright ideas ? You may need to set Stupid Mode = 1 in /etc/wvdial.conf Hope that helps, Chris -- __ _ -o)/ / (_)__ __ ____ __ Chris Reeves /\\ /__/ / _ \/ // /\ \/ / ICQ# 22219005 _\_v __/_/_//_/\_,_/ /_/\_\ -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

Freei now supports Linux? Freei is a Free ISP that requires you to view ads while you're connected. Unless you have their software installed it probably won't work. Freei is a regular ppp dialup nothing more, you can use windows networking to connect to it. On Thu, 20 Jan 2000, Mr. M wrote:
