Could anybody host a SuSe 8.2 mini network how-to from me?
Hello all After spending some time configuring and bugfixing my new Linux server setup, I have put together a step-by-step installation guide and config scripts for the following setup: SuSE Pro 8.2 DHCP server SuSEfirewall2 DNS server (configured but not running) Apache web server with Perl and PHP support apcups daemon for APC UPS Postfix with virtual domain support Samba with file sharing only (no print serving) FTP server (VSFTP? - not configured yet) IMAP + webmail (UW IMAP and Squirrelmail?) Along with the step-by-step guide text file, I have put together all the necessary config scripts for my configuration, which I believe is close to what a typical home+ user would need. So, to the questions: -> As I don't fancy hosting this myself, could anybody do it for me? We are talking about less than 2 MB of text files. -> I may need some help with the last two lines. Would anybody be willing and able to answer some (very few, hopefully none) questions when they arise as I begin configuring the FTP server and webmail? PLEASE OBSERVE!!! Do NOT send me an e-mail with a request, however polite, for this how-to and config files. They will hopefully be published in a week or two. I will then send out a new e-mail in this forum with a link. PLEASE OBSERVE!!! Read the above again. Please respect my privacy. Thanks in advance Regards /Niclas _________________________________________________________________ Tired of spam? You could submit it to: www.linux-sxs.org (whether you find another site or not) the 'sxs' stands for 'step by step' and the site will handle info from any distro.

This is what the SuSE-FAQ project is doing so send the files to me and it will be hosted on the sebserver along with its mirrors. Actually send me the link for downloading them as I am not fancy with emails over 1MB -- Togan Muftuoglu Unofficial SuSE FAQ Maintainer http://dinamizm.ath.cx
