You need to add your user to "vboxgroup" group (and restart) or run as root. It works. BTW: I wrote a whole guide about VirtualBox for openSUSE. Just install "lessons4lizards" doc package, and access it via "Start->Help". 1-click install can be tricky. The VirtualBox is included in 10.3 official repositories and you can see article http://en.opensuse.org/Virtualbox for instructions.
