Hi all, I am Ramkumar, an OpenSUSE Tumbleweed user.. i started to use tumbleweed as it is both a rolling distro and has official support for OpenFOAM, which is one of the main applications that i work on daily. I tried to install OpenFOAM from the science repository "openfoam2012-default" but i got dissatisfied in following points 1. i have to use system's paraview as the native paraview of openfoam2012 is not installed. 2. i got moved to a different shell environment when i source the openfoam resources (i.e. openfoam's bashrc) which i feel uncomfortable so i decided to compile entire openfoam from source by following the instructions given in the official site https://develop.openfoam.com/Development/openfoam/blob/develop/doc/Build.md i have successfully compiled OpenFOAM part and can access all the applications like, icoFoam, blockMesh etc... and then switched to ThirdParty directory and started to compile paraview v5.6.3, but it failed throwing lot of "undefined reference" issues related to VTK files. i have attached the log entry during compilation along with this mail. i have asked this in the forums but couldnt get a solid solution https://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/552344-OpenFOAM-s-Paraview-Compil... i tried installing vtk packages and all the dependencies but unable to get rid of this error. could u plz help me in figuring out what the issue is? P.S i need to compile the paraview that comes with OpenFOAM package as it has the support of OpenFOAM's plugins which are quite useful. Thank you and be safe! Ramkumar
