RE: [SLE] YOU unable to retrieve files ? help
Hi Rowan, I've been experiencing the same thing. I'm running SuSE v8.0 Professional on a Compaq Deskpro. Last week when running YOU I received the following message: Cannot get patch "menu_fix-1" from server "ftp.suse.com". Try to download remaining patches or continue with installation of downloaded ones. The message is repeated for patch "yast2-module-autoinst-833". I've tried running YOU twice since then but still run into this issue with these two patches. I've also tried pointing YOU to an alternate FTP server, but to no avail. It will download and install any other patches that are available, but not the two mentioned above. I have no idea what is causing the problem. I could understand if a couple patches were corrupted at one FTP site, but as it is occurring at more than one I can only guess that they were corrupt prior to be distributed to the various mirrors. Anyone else have any ideas? Sometimes it will retrieve a partial list others it will connect then disconnect say unable to retrieve a specified package. I checked sdb with no luck. Is anyone else experiencing this ?
eceived the following message:

The message I get is more along the lines of could not get patch try another server. YOU seems to get a patch list then installs. When trying different server the progression is random. Ofcourse there are no detailed logs. When I try ftp'ing manually I have no problems. So what gives ?
